Lore
TBD
Copper Dragons are tricksters who like to hoard stories. They tend to fraternize with humanoids by shape shifting and causing mischief within oppressive regimes. For example, a Copper Dragon might take the shape of a court jester to annoy a tyrant king and influence his subjects, or join forest rebels as a humanoid in their rebellion against an encroaching oppressor. As collectors of stories, they often disguise themselves as bards or mendicants. As dragons, they are smaller in stature than their kin, but far more devious. In addition to musical and literary objects accumulated as a part of their interest in amassing lore, Copper Dragons keep natural treasures in their lairs, such as rare fossils, geological artifacts or endangered wildlife. They keep in their lairs Wild monsters that like to dwell in mountainous or subterranean biomes. Their breath weapon is a flammable gas that acts as a mild paralytic and slows victims. While the Copper Dragon does not breathe fire, its scales are mineralized enamel plates that are resistant to corrosion, and it metabolizes acidic compounds in its gut, which it can expel as hyper-concentrated acidic saliva under high pressure.
